An evening celebrating the end of artist Beverley Bennett&#x27;s year long project Simon Says/ Dadda exploring UK women of colour&#x27;s family relationships and experiences of patriarchy with a series of readings and performances with project participants from London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Newcastle, and contributions by Rebecca Bellantoni, Christopher Kirubi , Shepherd Manyika, Amanprit Sandhu, The Sisterhood Bolanle Tajudeen, Joyce Treasure, Neruma Ankti and culminating in a performance by DUBMORPHOLOGY. Admission Free (NB Cash Bar)SEE <a href="https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Q-YcFasV9H_FR5E4cadBWigwdPjCLWoQ&amp;usp=sharing" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">MAP</a> FOR LOCATION Rebecca Bellantoni is an artist born and living in London, of Caribbean descent. She works with everyday occurrences and abstracts them; with a focus on the lives and experiences of Black British people, her research looks at the smaller communities that have developed within this larger diaspora.Christopher Kirubi is a London-based poet and artist who uses the mutability and promiscuity of images, objects and text to negotiate the limits of sexuality, gender, race and desire. Shepherd Manyika is a London based artist who works with mixed media. Manyika is interested in representations, drawing narratives from found images and the everyday.Amanprit Sandhu is a curator and writer based in London. She is co-founder of the curatorial collective DAM PROJECTS.The Sisterhood are a group of individuals who have come together through the London iteration of the Simon Says/Dadda project. They comprise of Beryl Bonsu, Ani Bailey, Amanda Ramasawmy, Alicia-Pearl Cato.Bolanle Tajudeen is founder of Black Blossoms , an organisation supporting and highlighting black women artists. Black Blossoms hosts regular exhibitions, panels and screenings throughout the UK.Joyce Treasure is a mixed media artist who works in layers and body forms to slice cultural and iconic imagery together using collage, print and acrylic. Treasure is interested in exploring new narratives regarding identity and social settings on a contemporary landscape.Neruma Ankti is a creative, a writer, a poet, a person who is passionate about human potential and growth. She is currently in training to be a Feldenkrais Practitioner.Dubmorphology is an interdisciplinary artist and research group comprising Trevor Mathison, a founding member of Black Audio Film Collective, and Gary Stewart.Beverley Bennett is an artist-filmmaker whose work revolves around the possibilities of drawing, performance and collaborative experiments with sound.
