Description

Please join us on 23 January 2020, as we celebrate working beyond borders.

Many businesses and organisations in the UK are entering 2020 with the hope to move beyond the political and economic divides that marked the past year. With Brexit day looming at the end of the month, this includes continuing to work internationally – albeit in new ways.

So, now is a good time to seek opportunities and forge business links abroad. To give our clients quick and easy access to the international support they need, we’ve launched 12 international desks, covering countries and regions as diverse as the Balkans, France, China, the US and Germany. Each team is made up of lawyers who originate from, or are intimately familiar with, the countries they represent – so they can help with legal advice, as well as through personal connections.

The event ‘Beyond Borders: Working Internationally’ which will feature a short panel discussion with senior diplomats and international trade and investment specialists, to give you the opportunity to ask any questions about working beyond borders, and beyond Brexit. The Welsh Government’s Minister for International Relations, Eluned Morgan, will also say a few words about Wales’ newly launched International Strategy.

Panellists will include:

Alexandre Fasel – Ambassador of Switzerland to the United Kingdom

Andrew Gwatkin – Director, International Relations and Trade Welsh Government

Denise Hanrahan – Consul General for Ireland in Wales

Robin Howard – CEO of JR Industries

It will be an informal event hosted at our offices, so you can enjoy a drink and networking with like-minded stakeholders and businesses that operate internationally.

We hope to see you there!
