SYLA is delighted to partner with Pinsent Masons in the next 'Beyond the Basics' event. 
This event will focus on the work carried out by construction lawyers, from both contentious and non-contentious perspectives. As 'Construction Firm of the Year 2018', Pinsents are sure to provide members with an insightful and interesting take on some of the main challenges and opportunities in the sector at the moment.
Members will hear from a range of speakers, who specialise in both contentious procurement and construction disputes. In the first half of the event, members will hear about construction procurement and the red flag clauses that often cause trouble for clients and where the contractor and employer risk lies. In the second half, the focus will shift to what happens when it all goes wrong, as members are taken through the stages of a construction dispute. Members will have the chance to analyse and discuss those tricky clauses, whilst considering the dispute resolution options available to clients and how they are progressed in practice.
