This is a think-tank session followed by a workshop to address the old problem of encouraging and retaining more women in STEM careers using a new approach.
Many women in STEM professions are silently progressing their careers, unaware the impact their silence is having.
Organisations addressing the diversity and inclusiveness challenge are experiencing little or no sustained impact despite their best efforts.
UK has a history of failing to address the skills shortages, especially in STEM, which is affecting our economy.
If, as an industry, we carry on at the current pace to address inequality and inequity, we will be left behind by our global competition. The future looks bleak.
A new way of thinking is required that will lead to a new type of organisational culture to help our industry compete at a global level. By doing so, this new way of thinking will be breaking down the barriers and challenges faced by minorities in the workplace.
A new way forward is a change that will be difficult for some. But carrying on as before isn’t a viable option.
The way forward brings with it unforeseen and harder challenges as it involves changing the mindset of a society.

The morning will be a facilitated think-tank session looking at the key challenges faced by women in middle to senior posts and what needs to change and how.
The afternoon will be a workshop to equip delegates with the tools and resources to make the change happen.
