BfN Wokingham offer free, non-judgemental b﻿reastfeeding support across the Wokingham Borough area. As well as the bookable appointments listed on Eventbrite, we also have other support options that run throughout the month:D﻿rop-ins available:M﻿ondays (except Bank holidays) - Red Kite, Shinfield. Drop-in runs 1.30pm-2.30pm alongside the children's centre's baby play sessionOne T﻿hursday a month (usually 2nd Thursday of the month, but please confirm from wokingham@breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk) - Red Kite, Shinfield  a BfN volunteer is present at the Health Visitor run breastfeeding clinic that runs from 1.15pm-3.15pm2﻿nd Friday of the month - Finchampstead Baptist Church, drop-in from 10am-11am that runs alongside the children's centre's baby play session.V﻿ideo callsI﻿f you would prefer a video call, then it may be possible to arrange this. The Ambleside Centre

Breastfeeding support available from BfN peer support volunteers, available to those in the Wokingham Borough area. Breastfeeding support for parents within the Wokingham Borough area. One to one appointments at Ambleside are available to book for 1pm and 1.45pm (please check which ticket you are booking so you get your desired timeslot).Appointments are with BfN volunteer peer supporters. BfN volunteers have experience of breastfeeding and they are also trained to provide evidence-based information and support to other parents. General info:<ul><li>If you wish to bring a partner with you, the volunteers will need to check with any other attendees already in the room if they are comfortable for them to be in the room too. We recognise the importance and great benefit of having partners there too, but also just want to make sure everyone receiving support feels comfortable. (If necessary, it may be that your partner could wait outside the room for a few minutes whilst someone finishes feedings, or we do a bit of furniture rearranging, or it may be fine as is). Thank you for your understanding.</li><li>Booking details are monitored by staff and volunteers within BfN Wokingham.</li></ul>ArrivalIf arriving by car, you can either park on Arundel Road (1 minute walk from the Ambleside centre) or use the payable parking at the library/LIDL car park. Please do not park in the Ambleside Staff car park, it is for centre staff only. NB: if you are a blue badge holder there are some spaces available in the Ambleside staff car park available for you.If you bring a pram or pushchair with you, please use the Buggy Shelter provided - this is important as Ambleside has a policy of no buggies inside &amp; they have asked us to ensure this is met for those attending our appointments.Please go to Reception to sign in &amp; then go through to the Family Room where our breastfeeding group will take place. (Whilst you are in Reception the children’s centre may ask you to complete a membership form if you aren’t already registered with them. This can be done beforehand online if preferred, to save time on the day).
