Our Group
We are proud to say BGN is the longest running business networking group in Petersfield, connecting Local Entrepreneurs. We are a not for profit organisation with fees being used to cover costs and subsidise social events.

Our Meetings
We meet every Wednesday morning for breakfast at The Half Moon, a relaxed village pub with dining in Sheet, Hampshire. A weekly commitment seems a lot but the tempo ensures a full room of 20-30 people every meeting and members enjoy the buzz of a fun and friendly atmosphere.

When you join BGN, you become part of a large and growing community of like-minded business people from around Hampshire, Surrey and the Solent areas, all dedicated to helping each other profit and grow.

Genuine networking, no referral targets
You do business with people you know and trust. We don’t pressurise members to hit weekly referral quotas and our membership criteria ensures you only receive and give genuine business opportunities with colleagues who share your values.

Business support
As well as acting as each other’s sales team, BGN offers a mutual support group based in Petersfield, ideal for freelancers and start-ups. Whatever business advice you need, there’ll always be another member who can give support.

Boost your confidence and presenting skills
Each week every member has 1 minute to present their business to the group. We also have a weekly business highlight; each member is scheduled to do a 10-minute presentation on their business to the room approx. every 6 months. In addition, each week a member gives a short education slot which can be based on anything business related which will help the other members in some way.
Attending regularly will help boost your confidence and hone your presentation skills until you pitch with confidence, clarity and conciseness.

1-2-1 Support
We encourage members to have regular 1-2-1 meetings with each other to help build business relationships, discover ways to support each other and to offer advice and encouragement.

It’s not all meetings
We also host and attend a number of social events throughout the year with an eclectic mix of events chosen by members.

Supporting local Charity
We are a not for profit group and each year we support a local Charity, voted in by the members. As well as raising funds, we help by providing raffle prizes and attending events.

Our commitment to you
We only allow one business from each sector to become a member, this means that we have no conflict when it comes to passing business to each other. If we have someone who wishes to become a member and there is a potential conflict, then the current member would be approached to confirm they are happy. We have had Gardeners and Tree Surgeons, HR consultants and Business Administration Services, IT support and IT Trainers as members with some degree of cross over in their business and it can pay dividends, even allowing for increased business referral!
