Overview

Since 2004 Biddulph Old Hall has been owned and lovingly restored by Brian Vowles, his late partner Nigel Daly and his brother David Daly.

Biddulph Old Hall is situated near Stoke-on-Trent in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Dating from the 1400's it was originally built by the Biddulph family as heir family home. The Hall was bought in 2004 by Brian Vowles along with his late partner Nigel Daly with help from his brother David Daly. As architectural designers specialising in restoration of old properties to their former glory they set about restoring the property from its dangerously poor state of repair. Not only concentrating on the house, as keen gardeners the four and a half acre estate has also needed much attention. With a briar rose garden spilling over ruined walls, views over the Biddulph Valley from woodland walks to formal and informal areas, some built around the ruined walls of former outbuildings. Their artistic flair has added sculptures and statues to the vistas.
