This month we launch our new venue The Bawa Club Southmead Bristol with a live performance by the great John Mclean one of the uks loversrock giants. John McLean’s big break came when he partnered with Captain Sinbad, who became his manager and introduced him to Mad Professor at the Ariwa Sounds studio in London. With Mad Professor’s help, McLean recorded what would become one of his signature songs, If I Gave My Heart to You. When released through Ariwa, the track was a hit: it topped the reggae charts and even made an appearance on the UK pop chart.
