Bijli Artists Cafe

Need a bit of encouragement to finish that funding application or some solidarity while you chip away at a new play? Artists Cafe is Bijli’s new space for Global Majority* artists to come together for a bit of work and company. Co-Artistic Directors Shilpa and Mariem will host this space once a month at the Citizens’ Theatre. Bring your laptop or notebook and join us for a day of getting stuff done, with a joint lunchbreak as a chance to get to know your fellow Global Majority artists!

Spaces are limited to 10 people. If you cannot attend the Cafe after booking let us know so we can give the slot to someone else.


When?

12.00pm-5.00pm

Where?

Citizens' Theatre cafe - upstairs.

What do I need to bring?

-Whatever you are working on. This is will a quiet space for working on creative writing, funding applications, project planning; anything you can do in a shared working environment.

-A packed lunch. We'll take a lunch break at 1.30pm.

Anything else?

There's a cafe where you can buy hot drinks, a selection of food and cakes.


*Global Majority is defined as Black, Asian, Middle East (West Asian), Latinx and other indigenous ethnically diverse backgrounds.
