Inspired by the plot of Puccini’s opera “La Bohème” Pavel will tell the stories of the real artists, poets, philosophers, musicians and courtesans of the age who were drawn to the city of light, befriended each other, fell in and out of love, competed with one another and were inspired to create immortal works of arts.

The concert will feature timeless piano music by composers such as Chopin, Debussy, Ravel, Gershwin and many more.

Begin your festival journey with an unforgettable evening of music, history, and storytelling. Join acclaimed concert pianist and festival artistic director Pavel Timofeyevsky as he guides you through a hundred years of musical and cultural life in Bohemian Paris—from the salons of the 1820s to the vibrant cafés of the 1920s.

Inspired by the world of Puccini’s La Bohème, this storytelling-concert brings to life the real artists, poets, philosophers, musicians, and courtesans who once roamed the streets of the Latin Quarter. They loved, rivalled, and inspired each other—creating some of the most enduring works of art the world has known.

Through Pavel’s signature blend of narration and live performance, you’ll hear the timeless piano music of Chopin, Debussy, Ravel, Gershwin, and more—woven into a rich, evocative tapestry of stories, passion, and artistry.

Set in the intimate and elegant atmosphere of a private villa overlooking the Côte d'Azur, the evening begins with drinks and canapés on the terrace, offering guests the chance to meet fellow music lovers while soaking in the golden Mediterranean sunset.

A poetic and personal introduction to the festival’s spirit of music, beauty, and bohemian soul.
