Join other waste warriors in the community as we door-knock around town, sharing new recycling guidance & encouraging better practices.

Meet outside Falmouth Town Council Offices (next to 'Boo Koos')

Did you know that there’s a new, local food waste collection? And that the recycling and waste collections in Falmouth and Penryn have recently changed? A lot of students, staff and the wider community don’t, so we’re joining forces with the Council to tell people about it!We're pulling together a team of waste warriors - students, staff members, and local people who're keen to helping improve local recycling and reduce wastage! Run in collaboration with Falmouth Town Council, attendees will join the council's Environment Officers, our own Sustainability Team, and other like-minded people to speak with residents around Falmouth about the new recycling and waste collections, encouraging better practices and habits. This event is open to all - university students and staff, FX Plus and SU staff, and members of the local community too! Please reserve a free ticket to help us understand approximate numbers joining us on the night. A note on accessibility: As part of the event, we will be walking to houses around the centre of Falmouth. Attendees can walk and engage in the door-knocking as much or as little as they would like, and are free to leave whenever suites them. If attendees have limited mobility, we can look to plan more suitable walking routes accordingly.
