Locations: The Saltings, Auchnacraig, and Faifley Knowes
Are you passionate about nature, the environment, and making a real difference in your local community? Come and join the The Conservation Volunteers in West Dunbartonshire! We're a friendly, hands-on group working to protect and improve local green spaces through practical conservation tasks.
In this session we'll be doing some maintenance on the trees in the new woodland connecting Auchnacraig and Faifley Knowes.
What We Do:
Every Tuesday and Friday, we’ll get stuck into a variety of rewarding tasks including:
- Removing invasive plant species
- Tree planting and maintenance
- Meadow creation
- Habitat management
- Wildlife surveying
- And much more!
No experience? No problem! We welcome everyone – from seasoned conservationists to complete beginners. Tools, gloves, and training will be provided.

🧤 What to Bring:
- Sturdy footwear (boots or wellies recommended)
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Water and a packed lunch (tea and biscuits provided)
- Enthusiasm and a love for the outdoors!
Whether you're looking to meet new people, learn new skills, get active, or do your bit for the environment, we’d love to have you along.
We can provide travel expenses up to £6.00.
