Birdsong identification and dawn chorus walk
Wed 10 May 2017, 06:00 – 08:00 BST
Calling all early birds! Join us for a peaceful towpath walk towards Marple Aqueduct, where wildlife expert Russ Hedley will teach you ways to identify birdsong, while you revel in the dawn chorus.
Free. Suitable for young people and adults. Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund
This is a moderate walk, using the towpath down the Lock Flight, which is uneven in parts, with steep gradients. If you would like to discuss access, please call 07825 044 379 and we'd be happy to help.
Please wear sturdy footwear, and dress warmly as it may still be chilly that early in the morning!
Feel free to bring a drink and a snack if you think you may need it.
This event is aimed mainly at adults and young people, due to the day and time of the event and length of the walk, however keen children are always welcome!
