On Saturday 24th June Birmingham City University plays host to the Birmingham Comic Art Show, as one of the UK’s most revered comic book conventions makes its historic return as part of this year’s month long Birmingham Comics Festival celebrations.
The Birmingham Comic Art Show is your personal invite into the world of comics, be you young or think you’ve seen it all before. A chance to experience the cutting edge of comics today and rejoice in the great and good that’s gone before – From fans of The Beano to The Batman and all points in between.
Birmingham City University is an impressive educational campus offering state-of-the-art facilities within the tranquil surroundings of Eastside Park, and as host to the Birmingham Comic Art Show invites you to meet an abundance of Marvel, DC and 2000AD creators signing and sketching throughout the day; experience an exhibition of original and rare comic book art; be greeted by publishers and retailers offering a diverse range of publications for sale; admire cosplayers in their finest regalia and a whole lot more besides.
All in all, the Birmingham Comic Art Show promises a great day out for all the family and what’s more… It’s FREE!
