Black Girls Hike: North - Beamsley Beacon Circular

This is part of the Otley Walking Festival; a circular walk - From Addingham we head down to the river, cross the suspension bridge and head over the fields up to Black Foss farm. A short uphill road walk then takes us to the base of Beamsley Beacon which we climb.Once at the top we cross over the moor to Little Gate Cairn at which point we will stop for a lunch break. From here we drop down from the moor towards Moor End Farm, a short road walk then takes us to the paths which lead us back down to the suspension bridge and back into Addingham. Walking boots required; bring snacks (a packed lunch) and drinks.

How much is it? Suggested donation £5 As a registered non-profit, your support helps our
community grow. Enabling us to provide opportunities for Black women across the UK to
explore and reconnect with nature.

Can I come to Black Girls Hike?
As the name suggests, this is a safe space for Black/Mixed Race cis and trans women and
non-binary people of Black African and / or Caribbean descent who are comfortable in a
space that centres the experiences of Black women. We are not a BAME, POC, BIPOC,
WOC, Politically Black or Ally organisation.
What do I need to bring?
Walking boots / shoes with ankle support essential. No pumps or sliders.
Food and water

Waterproof jacket
Rucksack
Please ensure any medication is bought with you e.g., asthma pump or epi pen
