Black History - Future Generations

UNISON's  Annual Black History Event attracts up to 150 attendees and brings together Black union members, activists and the local Community

The event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the shared history and the achievement of Black people. This year's theme is Future Generations. We will be acknowledging the contribution of young Black achievers in Britain and also looking forward to the next generation with the Young Black Member Award presentation. The day will include guest speakers, musical performances, spoken word poetry and displays of dance and dress. Bring your knowledge of Black music and history to win a prize in our interactive quiz!Lunch, refreshments and a legacy booklet included.Time: 10:30am ( registration and refreshments) 11am start - 5pm finish Location for event: UNISON Centre , 130 Euston road, London NW1 2AYCost: £5 per person (bursaries are available by emailing Blackmembers@unison.co.uk) No refunds. The closing date to purchase tickets is Thursday 17th October.
