Join Gemma Rolls-Bentley and Dale Lewis in conversation at Block 336 on, Saturday 6th November, the final day of No Place Like Home. As co-chair of Queercircle, Gemma Rolls-Bentley will discuss the LGBTQ+ themes in Dale Lewis’ work. They will reflect on the artist’s experiences during the last 18 months and how social distancing and enforced segregation has impacted on shared experiences of intimacy, pleasure, solidarity and loss. Please note, this is an in person event, held at Block 336.Queercircle is a new LGBTQ+ led charity working at the intersection of arts, culture and social action. Queercircle&#x27;s new home in the pioneering Design District will open in early 2022, creating a new home for LGBTQ+ artists and safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. Gemma Rolls-Bentley is Chief Curator at Avant Arte. She is a visiting lecturer at the Royal College of Art and an advisor to early stage startups and cultural projects. She is a member of the Courtauld Association Committee board. In her work as a curator, writer, lecturer and business leader, Gemma spent nearly six years at Artsy and five years at Damien Hirst&#x27;s studio. Over the past 15 years Gemma has delivered projects for a range of global institutions and platforms including the National Portrait Gallery, WOW Festival, Palace of Fine Arts San Francisco, Somerset House, Daata Editions, Gay Times, Soho House Group and the Fawcett Society, her work often explores cultural representation of queer identity and gender equality.
