Block printing the basics

This is an excellent opportunity to create your very own, printed items using beautifully carved wooden blocks. Louise, an experienced block printer and certified tutor with the Indian Block Printing Company, will provide a detailed demonstration and guidance throughout the session.

As part of the workshop, you will gain confidence in the techniques used for block printing and have the opportunity to do plenty of practicing on scrap fabric and paper. Louise will discuss pattern layout, colour combinations, and themes to help you decide on your chosen designs. She will supply everything necessary, including numerous examples to inspire and assist you in getting started. No prior experience or artistic ability is required—only enthusiasm!
