Creating prayer mat workshop using pre-loved textiles
Join Muslim Women Connect for 'Blooming,' an intimate creative workshop in collaboration with Upcycled Sajada and A’rose Blooms, bringing together craft, reflection, and community. Rooted in the idea that every flower blooms in its own time, this session begins with an ivory base- a soft, open canvas symbolising clarity, intention, and new beginnings. From this foundation, you’ll design and create your own upcycled sajada (prayer mat) using pre-loved textiles, inspired by floral forms and organic patterns. Each piece becomes a reflection of growth, faith, and your personal journey.
You’ll craft a prayer mat designed to accompany you through everyday life- wherever prayer finds you. All materials are provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own fabrics to personalise your piece. Set within a floral environment curated by A’rose Blooms and supported by Muslim Women Connect, this workshop offers a space to slow down, create with intention, and connect through shared sisterhood experience.
All materials and light refreshments included!
