T﻿emperance Live CIC runs the events at Temperance, which is open seven days a week from 9am - 7pm as a vegetarian community arts cafe.  In the evenings we host live music, comedy, story-telling, film and other events.

UK British Blues Award winner Bex Marshall’s style of guitar playing is a unique technique of soulful back-porch slide, blues rock, and roots pickin’ &amp; ragtime, then there's her voice, a powerful melting pot of old black woman’s heartache and rock diva soul, Bex was asked by "Big Brother and the Holding Company’s Sam Andrews to be the 'Voice of Janis' on his last tour of the UK, then the songs....Bex is a songwriter of distinction and notability, she pushes the boundaries of Blues, her songs have been called ‘timeless’, with ‘touches of genius’, ‘harnessing the Blues without resorting to cliche or plagiarism, she tours constantly on international stages, shes able to cut it live, solo with her honed virtuoso style or with her band which augments her unique style of playing.Born In Plymouth Devon she was the child of blue-blooded landed gentry (her great grandfather was the Squire of Cornwall) and Irish Romany gypsy (her great Grandmother was the original fairground fortune teller “Madame Olga”
