Meet other practitioners working in frontline services supporting survivors of trauma, discuss key areas of practice and the launch of our new resource exploring the challenges and dilemmas involved when working with children and young people demonstrating harmful sexual behaviours (HSB).

For our second event we will continue to focus on how the CPS guidelines are applied when supporting children and young people who demonstrate HSB. The initial draft of our upcoming resource will be ready for comments and discussion. Within this document we will be presenting the challenges and dilemmas that occur when working with this group. We are excited to bring together voices from across the sector to discuss these challenges and provide a space for you to connect and share with each other. There will be experts in the sector present, as well as colleagues from the police, CPS, youth justice experts and barristers.

Who the network events are for

The network event is a multi-agency space, designed to support professionals from key agencies supporting victims, alleged perpetrators, and families within the criminal justice process regardless of offence type, as well as independent practitioners. This includes: all therapy services (statutory, voluntary, independent), advocacy services and specialist services (e.g., ISVA, IDVA), social services, the Police, CPS and Judiciary. As a large proportion of this event will be dedicated to our upcoming resource for those working with children and young people demonstrating sexually harmful behaviour, we would recommend that this event will be most useful to those working within this space.

We look forward to welcoming you.
