Event Participation Guidelines

Eligibility:

Most events require you to be a resident of Folk at The Palm House at the time of the event though some events might be open to the local community and our charity partner. Please ensure you select the appropriate ticket type when reserving your spot.

RSVP and Tickets:

For RSVP-only events:

You must book a ticket in advance to secure your spot.

Only one ticket per person is allowed.

If you can't attend, you must cancel your ticket at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in receiving a strike.

Three strikes will result in losing the opportunity to book future events.

Tickets and fees for paid events are non-refundable.

Waitlist for Sold-Out Events:

If an event is sold out, register on the waiting list. Spaces often open up due to cancellations, and we’ll notify you if a spot becomes available.

Ticket Fees:

A nominal fee may be charged for some events in cases such as: a) Limited capacity events to encourage attendance. b) Events offering additional value, such as food, drinks, travel, or an elevated experience.

Revenue from these fees is reinvested into making our event programme more exciting and diverse.

Accessibility and Special Requirements:

If you have any different abilities, allergies, or any concerns that might affect your well-being, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate your needs.

Photography and Marketing:

  1. Photos may be taken at events for marketing purposes. By attending, you consent to being photographed and featured.

Organized by

At Folk, our events are about bringing people together. Events are a great way for our residents to meet each other and try something new. This might be achieving a goal like getting fit or playing a team sport, but it could also be experimenting with something you’ve never even heard of like Kintsugi. Expect the unexpected!

If you have ideas for events – or even want to start your own one-off or series of events – give us a shout. Previous residents have organised weekly chess tournaments, run clubs and freelancer networking. We’ve got some money each month to support your big plans, so speak to our Community Manager for more info.
