Boobs &amp; Bingo – A Cancer Awareness Tea Party, exclusively for the women of Hounslow Calling all bingo fans! It’s time you get your legs eleven down to the Holy Trinity Church for a seriously good time with a special health message. On Friday, 4th October, the Holy Trinity Church will be hosting a bingo session aimed at raising awareness of the 3 main cancers that affect women– Breast, Cervical and Bowel!The session, entitled Boobs &amp; Bingo, is aimed specifically at vulnerable women in Hounslow who wish to learn more about cancer prevention in an accessible and inclusive environment. It will cover all aspects of Breast, Cervical &amp; Bowel care, the signs to look out for, information about screening services and who you can speak to if you have concerns.Nationally, there is evidence that women with learning difficulties are not well-informed about cancers and the uptake of screening is low.Boobs &amp; Bingo has been designed exclusively with women in mind to ensure they have a safe space to talk freely with health professionals and health care staff, who will be delivering accessible talks throughout the afternoon. By mixing the health messages with some good old-fashioned fun, it is hoped that visitors will be able to take advantage of all the preventative measures, such as breast screening, that are on offer.The event will include a fun and informal tea party with lots of bright pink balloons, plenty of tea and cake and the chance to meet new people and share experiences, with some guest appearances. And if all that wasn’t enough to put a smile on your boat race, the whole event will be compered in fine style by the Pearlie Queen of Fulham.
