Join us for a fun and hands-on bookbinding workshop where you'll learn to make your own mini books from scratch! Whether you're a beginner or just looking to try something new, this session is perfect for you.
During the workshop you’ll be given a materials pack for use during and after the workshop. The pack contains enough materials to make two of each type of book and we’ll complete one of each during the workshop time.
Each book will be 8.5 x 11 cm in size and the three books are:
- Accordion with signatures - an accordion book with eight panels on one side and three sections containing eight pages each on the other side.
- Simplified coptic binding - a book with three signatures, each containing eight pages, sewn together with a simplified version of the coptic stitch.
- Matchstick notebook - a notebook with a fold over flap which tucks in, containing 16 pages sewn to the cover using a simple Japanese style stitch.
