BOOT (Play)

Volition are a group of students and young professionals based in Cardiff, although we originally come from all around the world, including London, Italy, Portugal and Hungary. We use our mixed heritage to influence our work, whilst also collaborating with as many different voices and viewpoints as possible, creating wide and varied content between project to project.  We believe every medium has its own unique and irreplaceable voice in our day to day lives, and we strive to utilise each to its fullest.

“I try to imagine how my life will unfold but I’ve never been good at that future bollocks. I think. What, right now, can I do to change this?” 
Beaten up, gagged and locked in the boot of a car, one man begins to question all the choices that led him to this point. But bringing up the past can be dangerous, and the car is pulling closer and closer to its destination, and he realises; he may never be going home… Boot is a mix between a traditional one man show and ensemble based physical theatre performance. It crosses genres from an outrageous comedy to a tragic love story.
