How does the hostile environment policy and border controls operate within UK higher education? What is marketised higher education and how does this correlate with the hostile environment policy? How are migrant university staff and students coping with increased border checks on campus?

Join Unis Resist Border Control (URBC) and Migrants' Rights Network (MRN) and our panel of experts as we discuss these issues and many others in relation to the hostile environment policy within UK higher education.

Speakers:

- Shu Shin Luh- Barrister, Doughty Street Chambers

- Sanaz Raji- Founder of Unis Resist Border Controls and Independent Social Research Foundation fellow at Northumbria University exploring the nexus between immigration and marketised higher education in the UK.

- Syahadah - Sabbatical officer at University of the Arts Students’ Union (2021-22). She is the current campaigns officer and is involved in delivering projects that support and advocate for migrant students. Recently, she was involved in a successful policy proposal regarding international students support to the National Union of Students Conference.
