Borokov Borokov + Stevie What?
Borokov Borokov’s manic intensity has lit up festivals and clubs across Europe and beyond...
Please note, the advertised start time is when our doors will open, generally music starts one hour after doors.
---
Borokov Borokov used to describe their music as music they want to dance to—even when it doesn’t sound like dance music: a volatile mix of angular synth pop, work-incapacitated hi-NRG, krautrock with a double “t,” birthday-acid house, supra-Freudian elektrapunk, and multilingual lamentations. Every track an escape attempt, writhing out of its own straitjacket.
Their latest diptych, World War (EP, Magma Records, 2025) and World War Too (Album, Magnetron Music/Rotkat Records, 2026), amplifies the tension between agency and influence. The band started by handing themselves over—eyes closed, hypnotised—pulling broken signals, ghost phrases, and compulsive loops from the ether. Those transmissions became the raw matter of their new songs: part fever dream, part involuntary broadcast. With producer Youniss Ahamad and a rotating cast of collaborators (Personal Trainer, Marie Klock, Lézard) live drums, guitars, and voices were grafted onto these skeletal demos. Flesh collided with circuitry, trance fragments with flesh-and-blood immediacy. Borokov Borokov’s new musical endeavour slips between post-punk urgency, vaporous dream pop, and electronic pulses that hit your dance muscles. Choruses compel, rhythms command, melodies spellbind. They will be remixing their new music – live – on instruments built by remork (Kris Delacourt).
On stage, Borokov Borokov’s manic intensity has lit up festivals and clubs across Europe and beyond—CTM, Fusion, MOTH Club, Eurosonic, Pukkelpop, Best Kept Secret, Paradiso, Down The Rabbit Hole, AB, Le Petit Bain, Le Sucre, boilerroom.tv and more. In 2020 they were part of the renowned SHAPE platform. They are also a (un)regular on Charlie Bones’ Do!! You!!! Radio.

Stevie What? … Who? Where? When? These are the questions Stevie is asking himself after falling through his employer’s stationary cupboard and waking up in the land of Pokitaru. Join him for a psych-pop performance like no other.
