We help these businesses to grow and make operational improvements.To benefit from this scheme, you need to be based in Derby city, Derbyshire, Nottingham city or Nottinghamshire - this is the area covered by the Local Enterprise Partnership, D2N2.Enscite is a partnership between the University of Derby and Aston University, which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).What we offerA series of funded workshops - Learning LabsThis series of workshops is aimed at supporting you and your business to grow. They are suitable for all levels of employee and are funded by the ERDF so there will be no cost to you. Through online learning, the workshops will give you useful tools and techniques that you can take back to your business. This means the workshop is fully funded and offered without any cost to your organisation.Is my business eligible?To qualify for this ERDF-funded support, your business needs to meet this criteria:Be part of the automotive, aerospace or rail sector supply chains (not however part of the financial services sector)Be based in Derbyshire or NottinghamshireHave less than 250 employeesNot to be more than 25% owned by a large company (i.e. a company that is not an SME)Have a turnover less than 50 million euros and/or annual balance sheet less than 49 million euros

Who we are:
Enscite is a three-year collaboration between the University of Derby and Aston University to support businesses in the automotive, aerospace and rail sectors to improve their productivity to facilitate growth and competitive advantage. It is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

This workshop will help you and your business to understand where you are now and support with structuring the business to be more resilient and manage the risks associated with &#x27;ramping back up&#x27;.You will hear from funded projects that can help you and your business. We will explore areas such as supporting projects management and planning for now and for the long term - what happens when this is not in place. Consideration with be given to mitigating risks. There will also be discussions around why you should innovate. What happens when you don’t. To help you on this journey you will hear from two experts in this field:Dr Aristides Matopoulos - Associate Professor at Aston University, formally worked with Williams Advanced Engineering to develop a tool to assess suppliers’ ability to upscale production in order to raise the competitiveness of suppliers in the UK. Aristides will discuss if Covid-19 is a wake-up call for supply chains. Planning for next week, next month and next year.Dr Brian Price – Lecturer at Aston University, previously Director at Ricardo for Driveline and Transmission, former Chief Engineer at Harley Davidson and former Director at Cosworth Engineering. Brian will give a talk on Crisis Change Management and Risk.We will hear from three funded projects and how they can help your business. Dr. Daniel Symes, Project &amp; Business Manager will present an overview of the project and the support it offers. Driving Research and Innovation is a three-year project (2020 to 2022) which helps Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire businesses to improve their innovation culture and productivity through free access and support from our world-class expertise and facilities.Aerospace Unlocking Potential (Aerospace UP) is a £20M three-year project (2020 to 2022) which aims to support the aerospace supply chain in the Midlands by helping to unlock its innovation potential.
