A﻿re you a Nice Guy?Are you a man (or someone who identifies as a man), aged between 35-55?In your marriage or long-term relationship, are you having unresolved arguments or avoiding disagreements altogether? Do you feel belittled, disrespected and unappreciated? Are you experiencing a lack of intimacy? Do you feel that you do not always take a stand for what you want? Are you exasperated, frustrated and overwhelmed as a result? Do you find yourself at risk of divorce or separation or repeating that pattern in a cycle of “failed relationships”? Do you give more than you are given?Does that same pattern of not always taking a stand show up in your relationship with your kids or at work with clients, colleagues and collaborators?If you are saying “yes” to any of these questions, then this programme is for you.Are you noticing in your marriage that what you want from the relationship and life gets ignored and pushed down the priority list? Do you not keep your word and find it hard to gain the respect of your self, partner and children? Or are you on a repeated cycle of trying to get fit, lose weight, give up smoking, pornography or gambling, falling off the wagon and finding it hard to get back on? Or at work, are you finding it hard to lead, manage your team, get the results you want, grow your career or business?Then perhaps you are finding it hard to say “no” and sticking to it? Would you like to feel comfortable saying “no” even when you are challenged? Would you like to achieve your goals, happily say “no” to distractions and earn your own self-respect? Men often know what they need to do to achieve this. And it is our experience that is not enough.What men benefit from, and we provide in this programme, are tools that create strong boundaries where a man can say “no” where it is necessary and appropriate, and keep saying “no”, with confidence, certainty and resolve. When a man does this consistently and consciously, he earns his own self-respect, creates safety in his intimate relationships and with his children as well as his leadership, reliability and effectiveness at work.When a man says “no” to something, he is also saying “yes” to other things. So we will also be focusing on what you are saying “yes” to. For example, if you are saying “no” to a poor diet, you may be saying “yes” to healthy eating, vitality for life and self-care. If you are saying “no” to a lack of exercise, you may be saying “yes” to exercise, strength and stamina in your body and mind. If you are saying “no” to working too many hours, you may be saying “yes” to better sleep and more time doing other things like quality time with your partner, children, hobbies and socialising. And if you are saying “no” at bedtime to the kids, you may be saying “yes” to creating discipline, keeping your word and showing them how to care for themselves.Rather than doing this in an intellectual way only, we will emphasise an embodied approach, getting this into the bones. We will do this over 3 weeks, via Zoom, using personal reflection, group work, break-out rooms, mindfulness techniques, poetry and physical non-athletic exercises, with up to one-hour’s homework each week.Our exclusive and private Facebook Group will be available for support, accountability and coaching.The programme will run over three consecutive Thursdays from April 20th to May 4th, 2023 from 1900-2030 UK time (BST).
