This bowl turning taster session gives you the opportunity to try turning a wooden bowl using greenwood on a traditional pole-lathe.On the course, participants will take turns in turning a communal greenwood bowl, more if time allows. On the day you will learn: - the properties of greenwood and why it is ideal for bowl turning.- How to use an axe to create a bowl blank- How to use bowl turning toolsAt the end of the course names will be put into the bowl(s) and the lucky winner will take the bowl home.
