Brainhack Global 2017: Cambridge

Brainhack is a unique conference that convenes researchers from across the globe and a myriad of disciplines to work together on innovative projects related to neuroscience. Year after year, Brainhack events from around the world have brought together researchers to participate in open collaboration, and regional Brainhack events keep the momentum going throughout the year.
Brainhack Global 2017 will unite several regional Brainhack events around the world on March 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Having several simultaneous events will help build a critical mass for the regional Brainhack movement and will provide opportunities for inter-Brainhack collaboration. Local events will be connected by videoconference to expand collaborative opportunities so that smaller sites can plug into the content and energy generated at larger sites.

<H3>What to expect at Brainhack Global 2017: Cambridge</H3>
The Cambridge satellite event will bring together researchers from across the University and research institutes to collaborate on open science projects in neuroscience. 
Participants are encouraged to self organise their activities but some suggestions include: 
<UL>
<LI>Work in teams through openly available tutorials for neuroimaging analyses</LI>
<LI>Work in teams through roadblocks in your analyses that are holding up your research</LI>
<LI>Add a feature to some open source code that you want to update</LI>
<LI>Develop a new workflow on old data, or an old workflow on new data</LI>
<LI>Build collaborations between people in different departments</LI>
<LI>Use the global brainhack network to access openly available data for your analyses</LI>
</UL>
The three days will also include unconference opportunities to promote and share skills, knowledge and opportunities with the community along with four featured speakers (TBD).

<H3>Time, place & what to bring </H3>
Brainhack Global runs over three days - Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th March 2017. The Cambridge satellite event will begin at 9am GMT and end at 7pm GMT each day.
We will be in the Higgs Room at the University Centre for this event. They have lots of space for us to work collaboratively with good wifi.
Please bring your own computer as we are not able to provide any on loan.

Registration is £10 per day, or all three days for £25.
