Bread Making Class

Celebrate Real Bread Week at Brixton Windmill

Join our hands-on baking class to learn how to make delicious artisan breads. It’s a chance to hone your home bread making skills using our unique stoneground flour from Brixton Windmill. The class is for a small group with a maximum of 10 participants so you’ll get lots of tips from our teacher Fabio Bettini. Plus there’s lots of time to ask questions. There’ll also be a chance to pop in to the windmill to see how our volunteer millers make our flour*.

This class is suitable for anyone, regardless of age or baking experience (although a little home baking experience might be helpful). All the recipes will be fully explained step by step by our session leader.

Refreshments are included during the class. You may want to bring an apron plus a container/bag to take away your bakes.

*Milling does depend on a number of factors so we cannot absolutely guarantee you’ll see our millers at work but we’ll do our best to make this happen.

I’m Fabio, I was born in Venice and grew up in a house filled with seasonal food and meals made from scratch. Many years have passed since that memory but the one thing that hasn’t changed is my passion for food, tasty and flavourful homemade food. And to the cry of ‘no ready made stuff and fake flavours’, I’ve kept baking, cooking, and sharing my experiments with my family and friends. Find out more about my Venetian Kitchen here.
