Are you a South Asian woman aged 40+ living in Birmingham/ Solihull? Sought help from health professionals for your perimenopause symptoms?

Do you experience hot flushes, mood swings, weight gain, brain fog, or other symptoms that are impacting your daily life? Have you felt unheard by your doctor or other health professionals, or too embarrassed to discuss certain issues due to cultural barriers or English not being your first language?You’re not alone—and your voice can make a difference. Two focus groups will be held on Wednesday, 5th February 2025 where you can share your experiences in a safe and welcoming space. Together, we’ll discuss the challenges that many South Asian women face and ask the question; how do we break the cultural taboos that prevent women from seeking help? and explore what needs to change.Pick the time you can attend. The format will be the same for both focus groups.Session 1: 1 PM – 3 PMSession 2: 6 PM – 8 PMLight snacks and refreshments will be provided.Spaces are limited, so don’t miss your chance to be heard. Join the conversation, your insights will help shape better access to NHS health services.
