A state of the art Total Airway and Respiratory competency course for Doctors, Nurses and ACPs in ICU, Anaesthesia and Acute Care

The BRIC – BRAC Bronchoscopy, Airway, Respiratory Competencies course is a 1.5 day residential course at the Post graduate Centre, Homerton College on Sep 1 & 2 2026.

It is a state of the art Total Airway and Respiratory competency course for Doctors, nurses and Advanced care practitioners in ICU, Anaesthesia and acute care specialties.

The BRIC BRAC course provides the strengths of the Bronchoscopy in Intensive care (BRIC) courses, with Respiratory focused acute care knowledge, skills and competencies in a combined programme.

The highly recommended, successful workshop and tutorial based multimodality format is designed to improve Bronchoscopy practice in ICU, Theatres and acute care settings. It includes bronchial dexterity and navigation using AI mixed reality tools, awake airway/bronchoscopy management, Bronchial lavage, foreign body and cryoextraction, airway haemorrhage, and percutaneous tracheostomy. There is a large emphasis on simulated scenarios (haemmorhage, desaturations etc), patient safety and team working.

Key Respiratory ICU topics include- point of care ultrasound scenarios, Respiratory Radiology pearls for ICU, High flow respiratory support, thoracocentesis and Emergency simulations.

There is AI based bronchoscopy simulator time for dedicated competency acquisition and team based scenarios.

Current updates and Pro-Cons on the latest Airway guidelines, Non invasive respiratory support and the future advances in POCUS and AI driven Bronchoscopy / Airway training

There is a highly experienced national, Cambridge and international faculty with opportunity to test established and new devices.

The Residential Course at the beautiful Homerton College (accommodation, meals, lectures, workshops) with a Gala Dinner at the famous Magdalene College Dining Hall will provide the perfect environment for the sharing of knowledge, skills and competencies between Faculty, Delegates and Industry partners.
