Brompton Library Clothes Repair Workshop

Traid is a UK charity on a mission to change fashion for the better. Keeping clothes in use for longer is at the core of our work. We do this by providing convenient ways for the public to reuse clothes while delivering education to people of all ages to raise awareness of the powerful environmental and social benefits of reducing our clothing footprint.Traid completes the circle by committing the funds raised to global projects benefiting the people and places where our clothes are made. The work we support aims to improve environmental and social outcomes, right now Traid is supporting cotton farmers, garment workers and their children across the world to make fashion fairer for everyone.

Join our free community event on Saturday 18th April, 1pm-4pm at West Brompton Library and learn how to mend your clothes.

Brompton Library

The Brompton Library Clothes Repair Workshop is a free community event where participants will learn how to mend their clothes. Please bring along one or two items of clothing that are in need of repair and we will teach you how to mend them.All our workshops are suitable for those with no previous skills and we will have examples of clothes that have been repaired, as well as materials to practice on.Register to attend to secure your spot. The last hour of this workshop is open to walk-in menders. Plus, we welcome you to also take part in the free Spring Clothes Swap, in partnership with Give Your Best, to trade in up to five pre-loved clothing items and pick out something new to you.This event is presented by <a href="https://traid.org.uk/" title="https://traid.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Traid</a> in partnership with the <a href="https://www.rbkc.gov.uk/" title="https://www.rbkc.gov.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea</a>.
