Conservation Trust).

PLEASE READ THESE VERY IMPORTANT BITS BELOW!

MEETING POINT-

https://w3w.co/moves.invent.string

MEET at the North Street/Ashton Road end entrance to Greville Smyth Park.

We will be walking on paths, some may be uphill & uneven, and there will be two pedestrian

crossings involved ( one across Coronation Road, one across the bus lane near Ashton Avenue

Bridge). So you are advised to be responsible for yourselves, only crossing when it is clear and

safe to do so. All ages welcome, NO unaccompanied children.

Wheelchair users welcome.

Assistance dogs welcome on leads. Please be advised that it WILL GET DARK and people will

be looking up to the sky so there is a risk of a dog being tripped over.

PLEASE WEAR weather appropriate clothing and shoes for 15/20 minute approx. walk, with lots of stops.

It will get cooler once it gets dark.

You are WELCOME to bring a torch for safety, though we will be mainly in reasonably well-lit

areas, and remember that bright lights knock out your night vision ( and that of all the people

around you). If you have a red light torch that is ideal.

The walk will last approximately 1 & 1/2 to 2 hours, finishing back at the starting point. If you need

to leave early, please let us know and hand back the detector!

PARKING is available on Ashton Road and surrounding area, should be free of charge at that

time.

IN THE EVENT of rain, bats don’t like to come out in the rain and nor do we, so we may cancel at

short notice to avoid bat disappointment.

Please note that we are enthusiasts and not experts, so if you know lots about bats then please

do share your knowledge with the group!

Any questions in advance, please email info@sallydove.co.uk
