COURSE OVERVIEW
This 2-day course gives participants practical and theoretical skills to carry out BS5837-compliant tree surveys, plot tree locations, design arboricultural plans, and prepare professional reports. Using real-world examples and practical exercises, attendees will learn to apply BS5837 standards effectively in construction, planning, and landscape projects.

- Plotting trees using GPS/GNSS and Point-to-Point methods.
- Design plans, OS maps, and fixing geospatial inaccuracies.
- Recording tree data accurately.
- Calculating Root Protection Areas (RPAs).
- Understanding root morphology in built, modified, and arable environments.
- Modifying RPAs when necessary.
- Tree constraints design.
- Scientific report layouts and recommendations.
- Tree protection measures on construction sites.
