BST Professional Open Day

Berlin Space Technologies (BST) is a specialist for small satellite systems and technology. BST offers reliable and cost efficient solutions for high resolution earth observation with up to 1.5 m GSD on the global market. All our products can be bundled with comprehensive training and technology transfer programs.BST headquarters are located in Berlin-Adlershof, Germany in the ‘Zentrum für Mikrosysteme und Materialien’ (ZMM, engl: Centre for Microsystems and Materials). It is a new building facilitating modern offices, large conference rooms and clean rooms on demand.

This is a trade-related event and is thus restricted to consultants, companies and organisations wishing to do business with BST.
 
IMPORTANT NOTICE: We have reached the limit of allowable registrations and as with all events, we expect a small percentage with tickets not being able to attend on the day. If you can no longer register, please contact us directly so we can put you on the waiting list. Please do not show up without an invitiation. BST cannot accommodate more then a fixed number of attendees.
 
Introduction
The International Astronautical Congress (<A HREF="https://www.iac2018.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.iac2018.org/</A>) will be held in Bremen, Germany from 1st to 5th October and since Berlin is a mere 3-hour train journey from Bremen and it’s only an extra day’s stay in Germany for potential clients, we intend to hold a “professional open day” at BST (<A HREF="https://www.berlin-space-tech.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.berlin-space-tech.com/</A>) in Berlin on the 6th October. 
The objective is to give potential clients an opportunity to listen to what BST can offer your institution/organisation and also to tour our facilities.
The IAC gala is held on the evening of 5th October so we’ll travel by train from Bremen on Saturday morning.
 
The proposed agenda 
This will be an intensive event so during the coach ride to Adlershof, we'll provide you all with a pre- visit summary so you're aware of which of the 3 or 4 groups you're apart of. Since we can only cater for 10 people in the laboratory at a time, the tour has to be staggered, as will the presentations. So, we'll be looking at 4 groups of 10. We'll provide more information on the day but in summary, the event will include tours of the facility, presentations on satellite subsystems, payloads and platforms as well as presentations on technology transfer.

BST will arrange transport from Hauptbahnhof (the main train station) at 1010 on Saturday 6th October to take us to BST in Adlershof. After the open day has ended, the coach will take us to Berlin Mitte at about 1800. Please note that for those who decide to stay at the Dorint, if you visit the city centre in the evening, you'll be expected to make your own way back to Adlershof. 
 
Accommodation
I'd like to urge you to take advantage of the 'early bird internet rates' and make your resveration as soon as possible. You'll all be responsible for booking directly with the hotel, but I can recommend a few;

<LI CLASS="MsoNormal">Dorint Adlershof (https://hotel-berlin-adlershof.dorint.com/en/) this is located ~200m walk from BST. However, It's a 40-minute journey on the S-Bahn from the city centre (FriederickStr) to Adlershof. Door-to-door, the journey can be up to 1 hour.</LI>

The Leonardo, Arcotel and Zoe are ideal for getting to Hauptbahnhof (train station), Berlin Tegel airport and also for tourism on the Sunday, prior to leaving Berlin. 
The Dorint, on the other hand is only 6km from Berlin Schoenfeld airport (with a direct bus from outside the hotel).
Please note that BST does not have any special agreement with these hotels. They are only recommended.
 For those who don’t plan on attending the IAC
You’re more than welcome to travel to Berlin directly and attend the open day. The preliminary suggestion is to meet at Berlin Hauptbahnhoff at 1010 on Saturday 6th October.
 
Cancellations
The event received more than 30 registrations and we expect more people will want to come. Therefore, it's important if you feel you cannot attend, that you notify me immediately, so we can give your space to someone else.
