What happens on the day?

The day begins at 9.45am with registration opening until 10.30am in Buckland Brewer Village Hall. Participants then gather at the entrance to Orleigh Close (outside the pub) for race briefing at 10.50am before a 11am start. BBQ, Bar, Cakes and prize giving at the Coach & Horses after!

Where can I park?

By kind permission of Buckland Brewer Parish Council, the amenity field is opened for car parking where you will be directed by our marshals.

Are there any road closures?

Accepted Answer

No, roads are not closed but public are made aware where possible and runners are encouraged to proceed with caution. The route is also well-marshalled throughout.

Can I transfer or refund?

Accepted Answer

Given that the event is run for charity, we are unable to offer transfers to following years or refunds. We are able to transfer 2025 places to alternative runners.

What could I win?

We pride ourselves on the small, community approach to the race so prizes are given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd Male and Female winners.

I’m not running, how can I support?

We are always on the lookout for volunteers to marshal the course and provide cake donations! We love to line the streets of the village to encourage the runners around as they pass through at around halfway around the course.

How much does it cost?

The race entry fee for 2026 is £22 for unaffiliated runners and £18 for those affiliated. This provides you with a beautiful 10K run around the parish of Buckland Brewer, views guaranteed – weather not! As well as a medal!

Is there a minimum age?

Runners 16 and over can run unaccompanied. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult and run at their own risk.

Question 9

Can I wear headphones?

Accepted Answer

Runners may wear headphones around the course but the organisers do not accept any liability. Runners must listen to the race briefing.

Question 10

Can I bring my dog?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely, but as a spectator only! We welcome well-behaved dogs on leads but runners are not permitted to run with them.
