Buddhist 101
Overview

A wonderful opportunity to join Kadampa Meditation Teacher Ian McGlade for a morning retreat at Lamrim Kadampa Buddhist Centre.

Buddhism is learning to live from a peaceful mind and a good heart as the best way to solve our own inner problems of anxiety, depression, fear, etc.; finding a deepening sense of happiness and freedom from within; and in time helping and inspiring others to do the same.

In this morning retreat of talks and meditations we will learn to practice meditation, understand core Buddhist concepts of Karma, Death, Rebirth & Impermanence. We'll also explore the meaning of the teaching on the Four Noble Truths and the Mahayana Paths of Universal Love, Compassion and Bodhichitta. As well as the Ultimate and finally liberating teaching of Buddha, that our entire reality is an illusion, that it is empty of inherent existence.

This short course will enrich your practice as well as providing a wonderful insight into how Buddhist Teachings fit together and are practiced in everyday life to help us connect to reality and a deep sense of meaning and purpose.
