Bugging Out: Macro Photography Meet-up
Let's get up close and personal with tiny critters at our 'Bug' Macro Photography Meet-up!
Macro Photography at Cody Dock: Invertebrate Discovery
Join us for an immersive morning of macro photography at Cody Dock, where we’ll explore the hidden world of invertebrates through our lenses!
Invertebrate Discovery Walk
Guided by our on-site Biodiversity Officer, you’ll gain exclusive access to behind-the-scenes areas as we document as many of Cody Dock’s fascinating invertebrates as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to observe and photograph rarely seen species in their natural habitat.
What to Bring:
✅ A camera – Ideally a DSLR or mirrorless, but most digital compacts and bridge cameras with macro functions will work.
✅ A macro lens (if you have one) – But even standard lenses can capture great close-ups.
✅ A tripod (optional) – Handy for steady shots, but not essential.
✅ Memory cards & spare batteries
✅ Additional gear – Any lenses, flashguns, or accessories you’d like to test out.
✅ Outdoor clothing & footwear – Expect some kneeling and ground-level shooting, so dress accordingly.
✅ Lunch – Not included, but there’s a café on-site, or feel free to bring your own.
Come along to learn, share, and capture the incredible miniature world of Cody Dock. Spaces are limited, so book now to secure your spot!
