“Build a Book!” Bookbinding workshop

Make your choice of hand-bound notebook from a selection of traditional styles. Suitable for all abilities, full instruction given.

This Bookbinding workshop offers you the chance to make a traditionally hand bound notebook. Choose one of 3 different hard backed book structures.

This workshop is delivered at a gently enjoyable pace and participant numbers are restricted to the very low number of 4 to ensure that you have plenty of space to work and support and attention from me.

Some crafting experience is helpful but not essential.
Many bookbinding workshop providers prepare materials in advance so that students essentially work from kits.
I believe this reduces the opportunity to learn and practice essential knowledge and manual skills to be able to make more books independently at home. Therefore I teach you how to make your books from scratch from the flat materials provided.

Materials for the project are provided. The ticket price does not include Eventbrite fees and taxes. Tickets are non-refundable and not transferrable.

The workshop is held in an upstairs space at The Rifles Museum in the historic Salisbury Cathedral Close.
