Over the next 5 years, Wirral will host an estimated £1bn (tbc) of development and construction projects. From large scale housing schemes, waterfront redevelopment, land remediation and infrastructure, through to commercial business investment and expansion.
The scale of the opportunity from these public and private sector projects is unprecedented in Wirral. Our objective is to make sure as much of the benefit of this investment as possible is secured for local businesses and residents – building Wirral’s commercial competence and capacity both now and for the future – in an effective and connected network.
That is why Wirral Chamber has come together with Wirral Council and leading local developers and contractors, to develop a plan to maximise these local benefits. We have called this plan Build Wirral.
Together, we will launch Build Wirral on Wednesday 1 October from 9.30am to 12.30pm at The Hythe on Wirral Waters. We are extending an invitation to all businesses operating in Wirral in the development and construction sectors, their associated supply chains and professionals, to join us for this launch.
The launch will explain the activities and support we have planned over the next 12 months and will include presentations and discussion on:

· Business Support: Procurement Readiness, Leadership Development & AI adoption
