For small and medium-sized businesses, international sales can be the key to building resilience, growth and long-term success. In this webinar, Neil Wright — Managing Director of TensCare Ltd will share not only how he led his business to be awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise for International Trade but also draw on his experience to share real world tips and strategies for start ups, small enterprises and companies of all sizes, with different products and services looking for growth.

Topics covered will be: how to choose the right markets, navigate cultural and regulatory barriers and how to structure your routes to market. He will cover practical insights into building a small team that can think globally. Whether you are new to exporting or looking to expand into new regions, Neil will provide practical tools and inspiration to take your business beyond borders.

TensCare Ltd is a multi-cultural team of can-do people who are on a mission to improve the quality of life by offering electrotherapy medical devices for pain relief and muscle rehabilitation.

Neil took the company into Employee Ownership in March 2017 and since then the business has tripled in turnover and has significantly improved profitability. TensCare in 2021 were awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise for International Trade and won the local Overall Business Excellence award in their local Surrey community in 2022. Neil is an advocate of Employee Ownership and creating a work place environment that encourages all members of a team to be informed, involved and ultimately inspired to give purpose to building and contributing to their community through work.

Neil has a proven ability to make a difference having worked for large global brands and gaining experience from being in international corporations, start-ups, company sales and purchases and having developed distributor sales markets on all continents.

Neil will be pleased to share his first-hand experience of the transformative effect that exporting can have on your business, sharing practical tips that all businesses can engage in to build and developing their export business

Neil is also an Independent Trustee for a business supplying SaaS for doctor and medical staff rostering with the NHS and healthcare institutions in Australia and New Zealand as well as a Non Exec Director of a video market research business based in Surrey. Neil regularly advocates for Employee Ownership as a model for business ownership and economic growth
