For London Festival of Architecture, HTA hosts an exhibition tracing the history of our estate regeneration projects from 1969 to 2026.
Estates often sit at the forefront of innovative, community centred design. They bring people together, improve wellbeing, and harness a sense of belonging.
What happens when these buildings fall into disrepair? When they no longer serve their purpose? When the needs of their communities change?
HTA has a history of estate regeneration spanning almost 60 years. This retrospective exhibition gathers key projects, from the Lea View House through to Aylesbury Estate, and invites you to consider the nature of belonging.
Through architectural designs, building models, archival photos and remembered histories, we will form a tableau of the estate.
