Join Building Equality Greater Manchester as they launch our new campaign, the Allies Toolbox Talk, which aims to support allyship of the LGBTQ+ community within construction, engineering and built environment.Our Allies Toolbox Talk is aimed at educating our workforce - to empower colleagues across the industry to become active allies. This free resource explores the importance of allies and how individuals and business can make a positive difference through small changes; alongside introducing LGBTQ+ terminology to widen understanding and knowledge of the community including the day-to-day challenges and issues that we still need to overcome. Join this knowledge share and collaboration webinar to hear the first delivery of the toolbox talk - where we will explore how you can &#x27;LIVE&#x27; being an ally as well as providing useful hints and tips on being an accepting, listening, learning and year-round ally. Building Equality is an alliance of organisations who are passionate about working together and harnessing their collective power to drive LGBTQ+ inclusion in the construction industry – creating welcoming and supportive workplaces for everyone.This is the ethos of Building Equality. Education is key to our success. We believe in the power of education and understand the need for LGBTQ+ allies within our industry, and society at large. This resource will provide a comprehensive overview and understanding of the LGBTQ+ community and the role that allies play in facilitating greater tolerance, acceptance and equality.All ticket proceeds will be donated to our National Charity Partner - Albert Kennedy Trust (AKT) - the LGBTQ+ youth homelessness charity working with young people aged 16-25 who are struggling with their housing situation or living in a hostile environment.
