Our vision is to create a critical mass of digital talent, positioning Greater Manchester as the key place for businesses seeking a digitally-skilled workforce to invest in outside of London. We want to:

Inspire young people to think about a career in digital and give them the skills and confidence to do it
Future-proof the tech talent pipeline; connecting education and industry through harnessing real role models and industry mentors
Address the immediate digital skills shortage and support employers to diversify their workforce through developing a new model of reskilling and retraining.

This event will:

Share current digital talent development regionally and skills provision available with an emphasis on how businesses can benefit from utilising these schemes.
Future gaze – sharing how we see the future workforces developing. Forecasting key areas of demand, new technical roles, high priority skills, and latest digital trends in sectors
Discuss how can GM businesses can attract, recruit, and retain a diverse and inclusive workforce. How can businesses consider accessibility needs, inspire people to take up careers in tech, and provide skills training needed to do this?

We’re also keen to use this event to gather your own experience and challenges faced in relation to growing your own digital talent pipelines.
