SCC is throwing open its doors to show some of the steps being taken on our journey to being a Net Zero council by 2030 and YOU'RE invited.

18th July 2023: Suffolk County Council are committed to being net zero by 2030. This event is an opportunity to see some of the measures being used at their main Ipswich office (Endeavour House) to get to that goal.Since 2021, gas and electricity use at Endeavour House has been reduced by a huge amount. Along with large improvements across the whole SCC estate, this has led to a reduction in the utility-based carbon footprint of these buildings of 36%This has been achieved by a package of measures, that have focused on how and when energy is used within these buildings, reducing energy wastage and excess usage.Join us for an informal networking session and a chance to look around the building.4.30 – Arrival &amp; refreshments 4.55 – Welcome (Ned Harrison / Peter Frost SCC)5.00 – Presentation on savings/ destrat video (Mark Dale / Glyn Lee SCC)5.15 – BMS (Eco-Controls)5.30 – Walk around              - de-strat fans/ microlouvres (4th floor)               - BMS (Britten room)              - EV (outside the front)6.30 – Networking7.00 – CLOSE Book your FREE  place to join us at this fascinating evening event
