Building Performance in Practice
Practical demonstrations, technical insight and hands-on learning for retrofit and construction professionals.
Who Should Attend
Contractors • Housing Providers • Local Authorities • Developers • Retrofit Professionals • Technical Specialists
As expectations around building quality, compliance and energy performance continue to grow, the industry is under increasing pressure to evidence how buildings actually perform in use — not just how they were designed to perform on paper.
Building Performance in Practice is a free one-day industry event exploring how building performance measurement, installation quality and in-situ testing can improve outcomes across retrofit and new build projects.
The event brings together industry leaders, technical specialists and public sector partners for a practical day of technical insight, live demonstrations and hands-on learning.
Attendees will:
- Explore how measurement is supporting compliance, quality assurance and building performance
- Gain insight into evolving expectations linked to building standards, EPC reform and net zero delivery
- Take part in practical demonstrations using technologies such as the Pulse airtightness testing system and other in-situ measurement tools
- Experience hands-on sessions focused on installation quality, airtightness detailing and product application
- Hear lessons learned from live projects and real-world case studies
- Speak directly with representatives from Scottish Building Standards Hub and industry experts throughout the day
The event will feature contributions from Build Test Solutions and Ecological Building Systems, showcasing how measurement and quality installation practices work together to improve building performance and occupant outcomes.
