Building Programmes with Python

The Oxford Foundry is the University of Oxford's entrepreneurship centre. It aims to support all 24,000Oxford students in taking an entrepreneurial approach to their futures. It focuses on building technology skills and providing practical learning around entrepreneurship, as well as on the creation and support of new ventures.Universities are global influencers for purpose-led entrepreneurship. At Oxford, the Foundry is actively shaping and driving start-up culture and feeding into the UK and European entrepreneurial ecosystem, with ambition to play a critical role in its success.

Do you have beginner experience in Python? Would you like an opportunity to practise your skills with the support of experienced coders?
Join us at the Oxford Foundry where CodeSoc will be running a session which will give you the opportunity to build python programs from scratch. Come along and work through a python tutorial together, guided by members of CodeSoc. You can choose from building a tweetbot, automate email sending, a program to play web games, or writing personal schedulers! 
Follow a tutorial or build something on your own! CodeSoc will be available to guide you through the process.  
**If you have attended the 'Introduction to Python for beginners' course this term at The Foundry, you do not need to sign up**

STUDENT IDS WILL BE CHECKED ON THE DOOR
Please bring your ticket and Bod card with you.
 Photography and filming will take place during this event.
